Vulpiano Records

Marilyn Roxie

Vulpiano Records was launched in November 2009 by synth musician Marilyn Roxie, initially as a place to house great unsigned and independent artists they had come in contact with through networking in the music blogosphere. The concept behind Vulpiano is simple: to offer quality free music. Genres we specialize in are ambient, electronic, and acoustic. All artists are linked by their spirit of independence and experimentation. We hope you enjoy and share the music. Are you a music blogger, podcaster, or film-maker looking to feature a Vulpiano track in your content non-commercially? You can utilize any of the tracks in the Vulpiano library free for streaming or download as long as you credit the artist!

Veldt (VULP-0034) is a newly released EP from Lately Kind of Yeah on Vulpiano Records. A treat for enthusiasts of chiptune and vintage video game soundtracks, Veldt cycles through stages of an imaginary video game, from the optimistic title screen (O2) to boss fights (DRACULA and P.Mantium) and the dramatic conclusion (恐怖). Lately Kind of Yeah is the solo output of Nathan Rich (Delicatessens, Why Tired, Biollante), composer of lo-fi home recordings influenced by shoegaze, post-rock,...

A Netlabel Day 2017 exclusive marking the return of Lately Kind of Yeah on Vulpiano Records.  Galaxie Depression  is a tender, sleepy, spacey ambient album. Spacey, noisy, and remarkably solid. Cover art by Marilyn Roxie.

Storm and Urge (VULP-0031) is the new EP release from Lately Kind of Yeah. These three tracks call up an atmosphere like that depicted on the cover: isolated in a clean, uncluttered room, you find yourself both comforted and unsettled. Your mind wanders and then you remember where you are again, just as the music is over. And then you begin again.

Lately Kind of Yeah -  The Lost Adventures of Vexx  (VULP-0132) Vulpiano Records is proud to kick-off a series of releases from  Lately Kind of Yeah’s  archives with the EP  The Lost Adventures of Vexx . LKOY (Nathan Rich) has been part of Vulpiano since 2011, with his previous release here being the blissfully noisy  Galaxie Depression . The Lost Adventures of Vexx  showcases another, earlier side of LKOY, with electronic tunes recalling video game exploration (as in “Overworld”)...

Lately Kind of Yeah -  Two Shapes Apart  (VULP-0134) Following up from  The Lost Adventures of Vexx ,  Two Shapes Apart  is another entry in the  Lately Kind of Yeah  archive series. While  The Lost Adventures of Vexx  is electronic,  Two Shapes Apart  goes acoustic. In turns mellow ( " Cracked End " ), as the cover art suggests, and more haunting ( " Silk of Twins " ), this release offers a selection of sketches that show an artist in progress. The warm and...
